My Sunday

Hello All, I went wayyy back on Sunday with this one; purchased at JCP Outlet over 8 eight years ago. Looks like I have to retire this until I can get some more weight on these bones! :)

But I really like it, Super Cool and Super Comfy.

Received a good word on Sunday; coming from Mark 5:25-34. Topic 'How to Stop the Bleeding!'

So many of us are walking leaving a trail of blood in our path. Bleeding over everything from mistreating folks, to lying and cheating, and everything in between. When it's time to go to church we will wrap ourselves in that spiritual gauze or our pretty church clothes in hopes of stopping or concealing the bleeding. We do conceal it from many...family, friends, co-workers and the Pastor at times. BUT be not mistaken the bleeding is never concealed from GOD (the only one the matters).

Hello All, hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Are we ready for the week ahead? I Am!!!

Last night a friend and I popped in Luella's Restaurant & Sports Bar (our first time). This place stayed true to its name it was indeed a restaurant and a sports bar all in one.

We were entertained and not just by the live band which was very good; I would return to hear them again.

As always, it was great getting out with my girly.

Hello All, as I was getting dressed this morning listening to 11 Alive News, Ways to Save segment, I had to pause to watch the below featured boutique...Doubletake Recycled Luxury. Go here to see the piece covered on the news.

Interested in what they really had to offer I took a break from work and popped in! The boutique is small but fully stocked. The feature describes the boutique as having high end merchandise from $20 to $100.

I picked up this BCBG top for $10. The owner was super nice and said he displays new merchandise daily.  Check out his blog Doubletake Recycled Luxury Boutique .

I didn't have time to do my survey of each rack, each piece but I'm sure I'll pop in again.

You Barter? I Barter!

Hello all, Happy Hump Day. This week is flying by for me....yipppeeee. I love my weekends, even when I have nothing planned; especially when I have nothing planned!

Tell me, do you guys every barter? I will whenever the opportunity presents itself. Well, opportunity was knocking today.

I had a cell phone not being used and instead of selling on Craigslist as I would normally do. I bartered with a friend. How do you think I did?

I got: a pair of new sandals from Ross, 2 tank sweaters, a necklace and earring set, a bag from New York & Co., and a replica Chanel bag! Wheewwww...

This is the phone she got -G1, a hard shell case and the charger of course (not pictured).

As I was showing my newly acquired stash to my hubby he said, 'She gave you all of that for your phone?' ...Yes, she did!

I am happy with our exchange!

Just Another Madden Day

Hello all, this morning I pulled out these Steve Madden's which I really like but do not wear much. WHY? That peep toe is hard on the my toes. I take 2 steps and those 2 toes are doing more than peeping out. I HATE that, but I LIKE these shoes. So, some days...like today I endure the pain (more figuratively then literally).

What is the secret to comfortably wearing peep toe shoes?
